Lead Social Studies Educator|Curriculum Development
Pamela Yates is an experienced Social Studies educator with more than 26 years of teaching experience in Florida and Georgia public schools. For more than 10 years, she also taught dual enrollment History and Social Science courses, providing instruction to high school students earning college credit. She brings an additional 18 years of nonprofit educational experience, partnering with K–12 schools, colleges, families, and community organizations to support student learning.
Her work with the Boys & Girls Club of North Central Florida and the YWCA of Columbus included developing curriculum and educational programs for before-school, after-school, and summer programs, as well as writing multimillion-dollar grants to support students and families. Throughout her career, Pamela has remained committed to building strong partnerships among educators, families, and communities.
As a mother of four sons and grandmother of nine, Pamela deeply values the role families play in education. She believes supporting the whole child also means recognizing and strengthening the family and community surrounding them.
Pamela holds a B.S. in Secondary Social Studies Education from Valdosta State University, an M.S. in Social Studies Education and an Ed.S. in Curriculum from Nova Southeastern University, and has completed doctoral-level work in Educational Leadership. She also achieved National Board Certification in Secondary Social Studies.
