¡Hola! Meet Maria, our Spanish teacher!

Maria is passionate about sharing the Spanish language and culture with her students. She has 12 years of experience in the field of education and currently works at a private Christian school. She was also honored as a VFW Teacher of the Year. Maria truly enjoys creating a fun, engaging, and welcoming environment where students can learn and grow.

Originally from Madrid, Spain, Maria relocated to the United States as part of a U.S. Air Force military family. This experience has given her a deep appreciation for different cultures, communities, and the many experiences that connect us around the world.

Maria is also a proud mom of three boys, who have taught her the importance of patience, flexibility, and finding joy in everyday moments!

Outside the classroom, one of Maria’s greatest passions is scuba diving. She is an active member of the Panama City Dive Club and loves exploring the underwater world. She also enjoys the outdoors, traveling, and exercising. Maria believes learning should be an adventure, and she brings that same spirit of curiosity and exploration into her Spanish classroom.
